Rationale
Probably not significantly absorbed. Observe that grapefruit juice (CYP-inducer) should be avoided for use as an agent decreasing intestinal mucous secretion in Taenia infections.
Chemical description
Vermicide used against Taenia and Diphyllobothrium. Administered as tablets in a single dose of 2 g (adults). Absorbed only to a very small extent. Inhibitor of CYP2D6.
